This is a Gris in that it is fleshy and plush with a slight bronze which is bang on varietal but is still quite tight and lean. The grapes for this wine were sourced from Ant Moore’s home vineyard, Ants Nest in Marlborough and portions have had lees stirring and indigenous yeast ferments. The result is a soft and creamy texture with floral peach & pear characters and a touch of minerality and nuttiness. A very impressive first vintage and an excellent wine to serve with rabbit sausage (Thanks Blanco).
