The Special Release range from the Willson family of Langhorne Creek’s Bremerton Wines offers just that. Something pretty special, particularly for the price. Vermentino is a welcome Italian variety making its home here in Australia where it suits our Summer oriented lifestyle.
The nose alone breathes fun! Orange zest and blossom, nuts and apricot wafts up from the glass and ensnares your senses. Fresh acid punctuates the citrus nerve and drives the finish long in the mouth. Crisp, cool, clean and long.
As with many Italian varieties, this is a versatile wine that delivers silky texturised fruit mid palate and drinks well with a wide range of food – seafood, chicken, spices. However, it certainly does not need food to shine.
