Clos du Val Lone Cypress Ranch 2011 Chardonnay (USD$40) – The full Chardonnay experience with lashings of creamy cinnamon coating ripe peach fruit enhanced with some pretty perfumed notes. A big bold style that is full bodied complimented with a long savoury firm finish of spiced stonefruit.
Coldstream Hills Reserve Chardonnay 2010 ($55) – A rich concoction of cashew, pineapple, peach atop buttered honey toast. Sound tasty? The balance of this wine and its bold flavours is excellent. It has a luxurious creamy weight in the mouth thanks to some barrel and solids work kept fresh with zesty acid. It all culminates in a spicy finish.
Savaterre Chardonnay 2010 ($70) – The mouthfilling texture of this chardonnay is incredibly more-ish. The aromas of pineapple brulee with cinnamon are backed up with some ripe peach on the palate and the finish is soft, juicy and creamy. A wine that will deliver its savoury heart to you with each sip.
