A rich ripe Rhône blend from South Australia’s Kilikanoon, a family producer who make a range of Grenache wines showing the grape’s many personalities. This is a southern Rhône mix of the classic varieties of Grenache (50%), syrah (40%) and mourvedre (10%) with a distinct Aussie accent. . .
Here, the pepper lifts the raspberry, plum fruit and adds another dimension to the savoury meaty edge. Some creamy chocolate brings the whole bouquet together on the palate. A solid mouthful of fruit and spice that finishes with a flourish. A great Winter warmer with a generous heart.
If you are unable to find this particular wine from Kilikanoon, you could look for their classic Killerman’s Run GSM. This is a wine that is widely available and is a wine with incredible value and the potential to last in the cellar for 10 or so years in a good vintage.
