Kilikanoon is one of the Clare’s fine gems & Grenache is something that Australia does well in a variety of styles. An often overlooked fact is that we have some of the oldest Grenache vines in the world here. The vines for this Grenache are 60 years old & the wine has been basket pressed then matured for 22 months in seasoned oak.
A wine that is loaded with varietal spicy berry & cherry fruit character. Being a Grenache, it is lighter than Shiraz but still has plenty of structure including some quite well integrated but hefty alcohol that is just noticeable. Juicy and with long & fine length. This is one to drink with food to bring out its best.
