Half of a pair of Clare Valley Rieslings – one from Watervale and one from Polish Hill. The Watervale Riesling is a pale lemon, with appealing lime, lemon and limestone aromas. It is a clean and dry Riesling with loads of citrus and limestone balanced with crisp acid and medium body. A little like a squeeze of lemon and a pouring of lime juice onto a limestone rock – but much more appetising than it sounds and more than a little more refreshing.
The 2008 may be a little hard to find by now as they are moving onto the 2009 vintages which are also reputed to be stunning vintages.
