Current labelling between Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio can be quite confusing, but this wine is definitely in the Pinot Grigio realm.Firstly, the nose is of nutty pears, apple and is slightly and attractively floral. After a bumpy few of days of extreme heat, the grapes that survived had more optimum ripening conditions and less competition resulting in more concentrated characters. It retains its zippy acid and is refreshingly medium bodied. The flavours follow the nose with pears and nuts with a satisfying finish that is long and linear. A wine that is as fresh and zippy as a gorgeous Italian on a Vespa!! Drink it young and enjoy it chilled.
