A ripe and powerful Pinot Noir from the Mornington Peninsula from old vines which due to drought among other climatic challenges produced even lower yields of rich, ripe fruit than normal. From ripe cherries to Cherry Ripe, this Pinot has cherry character. The aromas are fresh ripe cherries but deeply intense with chocolatey nuance and some savoury leather. The smaller berries has given the wine a solid body and structure to hang the flavours of cherries, white pepper, leather and other savoury characters on. This is a very nicely integrated wine with lingering length and fine texture.
