With a name like ‘The Menzies’ you kind of expect something that has strength & longevity. Robert Menzies was legendary for his long service as Prime Minister of Australia. Apparently, he was a fan of a glass of red. Living up to its name, this Coonawarran Cabernet Sauvignon is one that will do well languishing in the cellar for a decade.
A wine with great concentration of character in its cassis & cedary, cinnamon spice & earthy chocolate depths. It is oh! so youthful at the moment but is approachably smooth already. This is a wine that can stand up to great debates over Sunday roast lunch or policy making contemplation.
