As the name suggests, the Violet Beauregard is a youthful vibrant purple hued wine. It also has some attractive floral notes to pretty up the more savoury aspects of earth, dried herb and sweet liquorice and cherry fruit. Peppery, spicy fruit lands in the mouth and makes itself known. While the powdery tannins do their thing and the warm alcohol provides that added lift, it is the juicy squishy Malbec fruit that really is the queen here. The Violet Beauregard has ahh! factor and is one classy chic.
