Who makes it?
Cantina Li Seddi is a family run winery on Sardegna near the township of Badesi. There they grow Moscato, Cannonau (also known as Grenache), and this Vermentino. The family make a range of wines from sparkling, including a Vermentino based sparkling, dry still wines and a passito dessert wine made from Muscat.
The Vermentino vines here grow on sandy soil. This combined with the Mistral winds that cross the vineyard means that they can be grown ungrafted giving the wines a longer and healthier life.

What does it taste like?
The sandy soil has given this wine a lightness of being and a minerally zing. Being lighter in body, doesn’t mean that the wine is light on fruit. There is concentrated fruit to be found here. Lemon, apple and some guava fruit all along the long length.
What to drink it with?
Well, seafood, of course! But also a lighter salad, maybe one dressed in Chevre and pine nuts. And vegetarian or chicken based risotto.
Cheese
Drink this Cantina Li Seddi Vermentino di Gallura with fresh cheese such as a goats cheese. Maybe even grilled haloumi.
