Jim Barry The Barry Bros Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Australia has put the shiraz cab blend on the world stage.  It is one that allows the juicy plush shiraz grape to fill in nicely around and taking shape from the cabernet sauvignon structure.  The Clare Valley in South Australia produces rich fruited reds, bold yet velvety and for the price domestically, this one is hard to beat.

Peppery, blackberry and red currant fruit has an oak richness to the juicy fruit. It is a full bodied red wine that has been made to enjoy now as it is released with a few years in the bottle already. I am ready for a BBQ right now, or I might be easily convinced to cook up a venison stew.

Quickie review «A bold, full bodied, peppery red dripping with ripe and spiced berryf ruit. A plush one released with a couple of years age to enjoy now.»
