More English Sparkling wines ….

Following on from English sparkling wines that you need to taste! (click here to read) here are some more English sparkling wines that you really should get into your glass...

Ridgeview Fitzrovia Rosé sparkling

The summer aromas of cherry, stonefruit, toasted bread and nuts lift perfume and lift the wine. It is fuller bodied, crisp and intense in the mouth. The spicy strawberry finish has a tartness that keeps the wines elegant. (£40)

Hattingley Valley Classic Reserve

This fizz has a fuller body and a richer creamy softness. If there is wine that is reminiscent of brioche, with that extended time on lees this is it. It is ripe and lush with citrus, apple along with nuts and minerality.  This is an easy wine to love. (£37)

Everflyht Late Release Sparkling

Everflyht Late Release is just one of the fine sparkling wines made on the Ellis family’s estate in Sussex.  This is a late disgorged wine that has been created with care to be a complex and vibrant fizz. This is a bold wine with layers of interest thanks to that careful portion work of oak ferment and maturation and the longer time on lees.  The wine has tight aromas, however the flavours are immediate. Citrus, yes.  But also melon, very ripe stonefruit with a savouriness.  (£40)

Digby Leander Pink Brut

The Leander Club in Henley-on-Thames is a famed rowing club, founded in 1818. Digby Fine English has created this wine for the club. The Digby Leander is a very moreish fizz. It is fresh, lightly ripe strawberry, citrus and cream. There is plenty of fruit. And it is well balanced with fine bubbles and it finishes long and lingering. (£35)

Roebuck Estates Blanc de Noirs

This particular Blanc de Noirs is created from grapes from their Roman Villa vineyard close to Petworth, one hour to the south west of the edge of London. A fine English fizz that is a richer mouthful. It is one that you can keep drinking it throughout lunch or starters.
