Morrisons wine shelves have some little gems on their wine list, usually under their 'The Best' label where a producer of excellence will be making the wines for Morrisons. Of course, the secret is knowing what to look for. This is not an exhaustive list, however, here are some that you should start with:
White wines
Torres Vina Sol (£8) - Dry, crisp and lighter in style. Click here for full review.

Morrisons The Best Gruner Veltliner (£10) - Markus Huber makes this wine so you can buy this with confidence. A versatile dry white wine.

Sparkling under £20
Jaume Serra Bouquet Cava Brut (£9) – Dry crisp Cava with melon, stonefruit and biscuit. Remarkable value.
Codorniu Vintage Organic Cava (£11) - This is a bright pear and apple fizz. Well balanced and very fresh.
Morrisons The Best Cremant de Limoux (£12.5) - A traditionally made sparkling wine from France. One of the 'Cremants'. 12 months on lees makes this very good value.
Segura Viudas Brut Vintage Rose Cava (£12) - This is a classic Cava and good value.
La Goiosa Rosea Brut (£11) - A well made pink Prosecco.
Rosé
Vina Sol Rose (£8) - A fresh dry rosé that is crisp and lightly spicy with ripe strawberry fruit. Click here for full review.

Studio By Miraval Rosé (£13) - This is a fresh and fruity wine by Miraval. It is rather good. Click here for a full review.
Fleurs de Prairie Luberon Rose (£11) - A syrah grenache dry rosé from the Southern Rhone.
Gérard Bertrand Cote des Roses (£12) - A classic South of France rosé offering up a fuller & riper mouthful of berry and red currant fruit wrapped up in cool silk. Click here for a review.

CUNE Rioja Crianza (£10) - a more medium styled red that has light toasted oak.
Oyster Bay Pinot Noir (£12) – This is fruity and spicy Pinot from New Zealand and is quite well made and is a crowd pleaser. Click here for a Winemusing review.

Ravenswood Lodi Zinfandel (£16) – A full richer style of Zinfandel that is a crowd pleaser.
Ramos Family Reserva Tinto (£11) - A bold expression of Alicante Bouschet and Touring Nacional.
Sweeties
Morrisons The Best Pedro Ximenez (£11) - This wine is made by Lustau and they make the best PX sherries that you will find in most stores in the UK. This is a bargain.
