Paracombe Wines is one of those wineries that have a great story to tell. The vineyard was planted after being ravaged by the Ash Wednesday bushfires and Kathy and Paul Drogemuller have a determined hands-on approach to create individual wines that truly qualify as ‘little gems’.
This is a Savvy that is for all of you who are beginning to search for something different in SBs. It is certainly proud of it’s heritage in that it has herby passionfruit and ripe stonefruit characters with the addition of the interest mix of minerality and cream on the tongue. Texturally this is silky, not quite as silky as the Paracombe Pinot Gris, but it is quite restrained without being austere like many of it’s variety. On the passionfruit finish, you are again reminded that this is a SB.
