Who makes it?
Paul Jaboulet Aine Viognier is a wine under the label of one of Hermitage region’s most famous names. Jaboulet. This wine is under the label of Paul Jaboulet although the brand is now in the custodianship of the Frey family. However, the Jaboulet brand has been around Hermitage since the 1800s. There are many famous photos where you will see the name adorning the famous hill behind the township of Tain-l’Hermitage.
Obviously, the family have access to estates in outstanding Viognier regions such as Condrieu. And the expertise with this grape.
How do they make it?
This is 100% Viognier. It ferments in stainless steel tanks and then it spends around 6 months on lees. The aim is to keep the fruitiness while adding some spice and creaminess.

What does it taste like?
A rather irresistible style of Viognier. It has freshness and verve while not being hedonistic on the fragrance or too high in alcohol. It is fuller in body, thanks to that lees maturation. Floral notes with classic apricot, spice and citrus. Don’t serve too chilled.
What to drink it with?
While you don’t need food with this wine, it goes very well with seafood and fish, chicken and vegetarian dishes. It is robust enough for a creamy pasta or a quiche or a fresh salad.
Cheese
Enjoy this wine with some fresh cheeses, including goat’s cheese.
