Here are three rose wines that are priced around or under a tenner. £10 that is….
Vina Sol Rose (£8)
This is a dry pink partner for the classic white Vina Sol. It is dry, fresh and with a lighter body and strawberry fruit. It is mainly a Garnacha based blend, with just 3-4 hours of skin contact and around 2 grams of residual sugar per litre. Another reliable Catalunyan wine from Torres.

Dolly Rosé (£10)
This is Dolly Parton’s collaboration wine from the South of France. It is a classic Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault blend with some bonus Merlot in the blend. This is a richer, plush rose with a medium pink colour. The fruity strawberries and cream also has some ripe stonefruit on aroma and on the finish.
It is a dry wine with some fresh sherberty acid. This is undoubtedly a crowd pick and it is easy to see why. It is not hard to enjoy with a long and smooth finish.

Boutari Dianthos Xinomavro (£10)
Greek rosé wines are hitting the spot this summer! This one is 100% Xinomavro and comes from Naoussa in Greece. It is a dry, medium salmon colour wine that is fruity with some minerally savouriness. Interestingly, the winemaking team uses the saignee method to produce one portion of this rosé. This means that that team starts the winemaking process of as if the wine is a red wine. Then after a short time, the portion for the rosé will be bled off the wine. After this, the wine will continue along a rosé winemaking pathway.
This wine has some flinty minerality that offsets the cherry and tropical fruit ripeness. It is fragrant and has a fresh balance. The flavours last long in the mouth.
