With a name like G&T, this has to be just that little bit different… & it is. Grenache is no stranger to Australian shores & Tempranillo is rapidly becoming the new ‘it’ grape & deservedly so. The traditional Rioja blend is fairly rare here still but it is going to be exciting to see the potential of the marriage blossom so far away from home. After spending just 6 months in old oak, the G&T is made in more of a Joven style with freshness in abundance. The blend is 60% Grenache & 40% Tempranillo all sourced from the McLaren Vale.
Fragrant with a nose full of pepper, red cherry & raspberries. There is plenty of texture to this wine with supple tannins, a warm palate & a generous long length. Proudly medium bodied and fresh & friskily vibrant with it, the wine has an overall feeling of elegance with a distinct sense of more-ishness. G&T anyone?
